Walk In The Light is poured from a small studio in Ferndale — about a half-mile from the river, between the school and the railroad. Every candle is made by hand, in batches of forty or so at a time, from a soy-blend wax and body-safe fragrance oils. The labels are printed in town. The boxes are folded on the kitchen table.

I started pouring candles here because this is where I was already living, mostly resting, when a chronic illness made the old life impossible. Ferndale is where the studio fits — small house, quiet street, kettle on the stove. There's no big retail front and probably won't be. But every candle that leaves through the porch was made in town, by hand, on a Tuesday afternoon. Thank you for buying close.

We're not open to walk-in traffic — it's a home studio and pouring days fill the kitchen. But if you've placed an order, we can have it on the porch within a few hours, and you're welcome to swing by during pickup window.
